Cowley (Kan.) College:  Averaged 11 points, seven rebounds and four blocks per game as a sophomore at Cowley College . . . Helped lead the Tigers to a 31-3 record, their first outright Jayhawk Conference title since 1990-91, the Region VI championship game and a No. 9 ranking in the final regular-season NJCAA national poll . . . Named Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk Conference for his efforts in 2007-08 . . .Owns Cowley College record for most blocks in a game (9).

Redlands (Okla.) Community College:  Originally signed with Redlands Community College, where he averaged 9 points and five rebounds as a freshman.

Miscellaneous:  In two seasons at the junior college level, McKinney’s teams posted a combined 64-6 record . . . Along with Eric McKinney, was announced as John Brady’s first signee at Arkansas State.

High School: Was a three year all-conference, all-region and all-district selection at Waldo High School in Waldo, Ark. . . . Helped lead Waldo HS to a state championship as a junior . . .Was a McDonalds All-American selection as a senior . . .Averaged 15 points, 10 rebounds, eight blocks, three steals and three assists at Waldo.
