FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- Arkansas State is opening its indoor season for the first time since the 2018-19 season, hosting Little Rock and Central Arkansas for the A-State Kickoff Klassic. The meet is closed to the public but live stats can be found here.
- Camryn Newton-Smith returns as the lone NCAA All-American from the Sun Belt, qualifying in the pentathlon before the NCAA Indoor Championships were canceled. She owns the school record in the pentathlon and took the conference crown in that event and the 60m hurdles in February.
- Bennett Pascoe returns as a two-time indoor champion as well, winning the mile and 5000m. He also most recently won the Sun Belt Cross Country men's individual title.
- On the men's side, A-State returns 20 scorers – 12 medalists – from last season's conference title.
- For the women, A-State brings back 17 individual scorers – eight medalists from last season's conference championship meet.
- Sixteen total athletes are slated to make their A-State Indoor Track and Field debut on Sunday.
