Four-year Arkansas State football letterman from 1986-89 who helped lead the program to a Southland Conference title and the 1986 NCAA Division I-AA national championship game … A-State also advanced to the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs in ’87 as a I-AA independent with Barnett on the squad … Listed as a starter on A-State’s All-Centennial Team that was announced in 2014 … Drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the third round of the 1990 NFL Draft and went on to play six seasons (1990-95) with the Eagles and two with the Miami Dolphins (1996-97) … Tabbed an NFL All-Rookie Team selection in 1990 and played in the 1992 Pro Bowl … All-Madden Team selection … Arkansas State 1980’s All-Decade Team … 1989 Blue-Gray Classic all-star game … A-State’s 12th all-time leader in receiving yards (1,571) … Caught 95 passes in his Arkansas State career and the led the team in receptions three seasons from 1987-89 … Recorded 308 receptions for 4,364 yards (15.0 avg.) and 28 touchdowns with Philadelphia … Responsible for 53 catches for 728 and four touchdowns with Miami.
