Hall of Honor
A three-year lettermen from 1983-85, Cline was a two-time Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American defensive tackle at Arkansas State. He collected 16 career sacks in three years, tied for ninth most in school history. He recorded three sacks in a game against North Texas in 1985, making him one of just 13 players in school history to have three or more sacks in a game. He was a two-time All-Southland Conference selection and participated in the East-West Shrine game in 1985. Upon finishing his playing career, Cline was one of two A-State players selected in the 1985 NFL Draft, going to the Green Bay Packers in the eighth round. He was selected by the USFL's Arizona Outlaw's in the ninth round later that year and also spent time in the CFL with the Ottawa Roughriders. Cline was voted as a starting defensive lineman on the 1980's A-State All-Decade team and was selected as a member of the All-Centennial Team in 2014.
