Yates' Grand Slam Lifts ASU over ULM

One of just two A-State baseball players to earn All-America recognition twice, Josh Yates played for A-State back in 2006 and 2007. He earned ABCA First Team All-South Central Region honors in 2006 along with First Team All-Sun Belt Conference distinction. He finished his career with a .357 batting average to rank third in school history and held a .435 on-base percentage, fifth-best all-time. He hit safely in 23 consecutive games late in 2006 and into the 2007 season for the second-longest streak in program history. His 24 career home runs rank fourth while he holds the highest slugging percentage (.683). He holds multiple top-10 single-season records including No. 1 in doubles (23 in 2006), No. 2 in total bases (139 in 2006), No. 3 in RBI (62 in 2006) and No. 4 in home runs (13 in 2006).
