A First Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2011, McCray (2007-11) played in 49 games for A-State and totaled a combined 220 tackles. Helping the Red Wolves to their first outright Sun Belt Conference championship with an unblemished 8-0 record, McCray tied for the team lead with 70 tackles in 2011. He was second on the team with four interceptions and added four pass break-ups. For his career, McCray totaled 10 interceptions and had 50-plus tackles in each of his last three seasons, including a high of 79 in his junior campaign. McCray went on to play four seasons (2012-16) in the National Football League with Miami, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, and Seattle. He was named to the NFL’s All-Pro special teams squad in 2014.
