Inducted into the A-State Hall of Honor in 2000, Jarrett was a four-year letterwinner with the men’s basketball program from 1976-1980. 

After the 1977-78 season, Jarrett was the team’s leading scorer averaging 15.3 points per game. The following season, he posted a career-high 15.4 points per game. He finished his basketball career with 1,150 points, a mark that ranks 20th all-time at Arkansas State. 

Jarrett finished with a 588 career rebounds, averaging at minimum 7.0 boards per game his final three years at A-State. He led the team in rebounding those three seasons. 

In 1979-80, Jarrett posted a team-leading 23 blocks. That season, he earned Honorable Mention All-America honors with Converse. He was a two-time All-Southland Conference performer.
