Malham began his college career at Arkansas State University playing tight end in 1972, but was later moved to linebacker for the 1973, 1974, & 1975 seasons. Malham is the 4th leading tackler in ASU’s football history with a total of 370 tackles. He led the team in tackles in 1973 with 113 tackles and in 1974 with 131 tackles. He was 2nd in tackles in 1975 with 126. The 1975 ASU Indian football team finished with and 11-0 season, ranked 21st in the final A.P. Poll among major universities and they were the Southland Conference Champions. ASU also owned the nation’s longest winning streak of division 1 teams at 14. Malham made 2nd team All-Southland Conference in 1973, 1st team in 1974 and 1975 and 2nd team Academic All-American in 1973. He has been voted to the All-Time ASU Team (1909-1975). He was selected to the All-Southland Conference Decade Team of the 70’s. Malham was also selected to the ASU All-Centennial Team.
