Hall of Honor
Following a career that spanned the 1960-62 seasons, Turner was regarded by coaches, teammates and opponents as the best and toughest linebacker to ever play at Arkansas State. He started his final two seasons at linebacker and during his senior season anchored the offensive line as well, drawing the start at center. He returned two interceptions for touchdowns during his career and led the team in both unassisted and assisted tackles during his senior season.

Turner signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns following his career at ASU and also spent time with the Ottawa Roughriders in the Canadian Football League.
